BioPack supplies custom cold-seal packaging for individually packed cereal, granola, muesli and portion-controlled snack products.
Unlike conventional heat-seal films, cold-seal packaging forms the seal through pressure. It is particularly useful on high-speed flow-wrapping lines and for products containing chocolate, yogurt coatings or other ingredients that may be affected by heat.
We do not treat cold-seal film as a standard printed laminate. The film structure, adhesive pattern, release layer, roll direction and printing registration must all work with the customer's packaging machine.
For each project, BioPack reviews the product, required shelf life, packing speed and machine specifications before recommending a suitable packaging structure.
Available for:
Single-serving cereal pouches
Granola and muesli portions
Cereal clusters and bites
Puffed rice and corn snacks
Chocolate-coated cereal
Breakfast multipacks
Hotel and airline cereal portions
School, hospital and foodservice packs
Promotional and sample-size snack pouches

There is no single laminate suitable for every cereal product.
A plain puffed cereal may mainly require moisture protection. Granola containing nuts or oils may also need oxygen and aroma barrier. Chocolate-coated cereal may require additional protection from light and temperature.
A practical option for dry cereal, puffed snacks and products with moderate shelf-life requirements.
Recommended when the cereal contains nuts, fats, chocolate, dried fruit or aroma-sensitive ingredients.
For natural, organic or premium cereal ranges, BioPack can develop structures with a paper-led appearance and tactile surface.
Mono-material PE or PP structures may be considered where the required barrier, cold-seal chemistry and packaging equipment allow.

Can cold-seal packaging keep cereal crispy?
Yes. Crispness mainly depends on the moisture barrier of the laminate and the integrity of the seals. BioPack selects the structure according to the cereal type, expected shelf life and storage environment.
Is cold seal suitable for chocolate-coated cereal?
Cold seal is frequently used for chocolate-coated cereal and similar products because the sealing process introduces less heat around the food than conventional heat sealing.
Can BioPack match our existing cereal packaging film?
Yes. You can send us a finished pouch, rollstock sample or technical datasheet. We can review the current material, thickness, barrier and cold-seal pattern before proposing a comparable or improved structure.
Do you customize the cold-seal adhesive pattern?
Yes. The adhesive layout is produced according to the machine drawing, pouch repeat, sealing-jaw position and cutting line. Accurate layout confirmation is essential before production.
Can one order include several cereal flavors?
Yes. Multiple flavor designs can use the same pouch dimensions and cold-seal layout. The most suitable print process depends on the quantity required for each design.
Are recyclable cold-seal cereal pouches available?
Potentially, depending on the barrier requirement and packaging equipment. Mono-material structures must be evaluated together with the cold-seal coating, printing ink and other functional layers.
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ varies according to the film structure, roll width, number of designs and printing method. Providing the required quantity for each SKU allows us to suggest the most economical production route.
Can you provide documentation for food-contact packaging?
Relevant material declarations and test documentation can be supplied according to the selected structure and destination-market requirements. Please list the required documents when requesting a quotation.
Planning a new cereal portion pack or replacing an existing cold-seal film?
Send BioPack your pouch dimensions, product information, machine model and estimated order quantity. Our team will review the application and recommend a structure based on actual barrier and production requirements.
