Rather than choosing a pouch only because it is described as "eco-friendly," we help buyers select the material structure according to the actual product, required shelf life, moisture and oxygen barrier, filling method, destination market and composting requirements.

A compostable pouch still needs to perform as packaging.
For coffee, nuts, dried fruit, granola and other moisture-sensitive products, the material structure should be selected according to the required protection against:

Transportation and handling
The ideal structure may therefore vary between two products even when they use the same pouch size.

Are these pouches home compostable?
Some structures can be designed for home composting, while others are intended for industrial composting. The correct option depends on the selected film, zipper, printing and complete pouch construction.
What is the MOQ for custom compostable pouches?
Digital printing can typically start from approximately 1,000 pieces per design. Gravure-printed projects commonly start from approximately 10,000 pieces, depending on material, size and artwork.
Can compostable pouches provide a high barrier?
Yes, selected compostable structures can provide moisture, oxygen and aroma protection. However, the required barrier should be determined by your actual product and shelf-life target.
Can you recommend the pouch size?
Yes. Send us your filling weight, product type and, ideally, a sample or existing packaging. Product density varies, so weight alone is not always sufficient to determine the final pouch dimensions.
Can I print a compostable certification logo on the pouch?
Only when the selected material or finished packaging meets the applicable certification requirements and you have the appropriate authorization to use the certification mark. We recommend confirming this before artwork approval.
Can you make compostable coffee pouches with valves?
Compostable coffee pouch structures with one-way degassing valves are available for selected projects. Final material, valve and barrier requirements should be confirmed according to the coffee format and intended shelf life.
