These Post-consumer Recycled(PCR) Coffee Bags are in recycle logo 4, a category that can easily be recycled. These Recycle Coffee Bags are made using soft plastics (polyethelyn), stripping away aluminium and using a removable valve to ensure the bag can be recycled and coffee is protected and kept fresh. By using a single material, the pouch can easily be sorted and then recycled without any pathway contamination.

Can you recycle coffee bags?

Whether you can recycle a coffee bag depends on the material it is made of. Paper coffee bags, such as Kraft and rice paper, can be recycled. But petroleum-based plastic and metalized film coffee bags cannot be recycled.

Coffee bags come in many different materials, depending on the coffee brand or roastery's choice of packaging. We offer a choice of sustainable coffee packaging including recyclable and compostable.
