A compostable claim alone does not tell you whether a pouch is suitable for a particular food.
Coffee, tea, nuts and powders can have very different requirements for oxygen, moisture, aroma and grease protection. For this reason, the material structure should be selected around the actual product rather than choosing a pouch only because it is described as compostable.

Are compostable zipper bags fully compostable?
They can be, but the claim should be based on the complete pouch structure rather than the film alone. The pouch body, zipper, adhesive, inks and other components should be considered together. Ask for certification and material documentation for the exact structure you plan to order.
Can compostable zipper bags be used for coffee?
Yes. Compostable zipper pouches can be used for roasted coffee when the material structure provides suitable oxygen and moisture protection. A one-way degassing valve can also be added where required.
What is the MOQ for custom compostable zipper bags?
The current MOQ for this product is 10,000 pieces. Final production requirements may vary depending on pouch size, printing method, material structure and number of SKUs.
Can I print my own design on the bags?
Yes. Size, artwork and printing can be customized. Before production, the artwork should be checked against the pouch dimensions, sealing areas, zipper position and cutting requirements.
Are these bags home compostable or industrial compostable?
That depends on the exact material structure selected for the project. Do not use "home compostable" or "industrial compostable" interchangeably. BioPack can provide relevant documentation based on the selected structure and certification requirement.
Can you add a zipper and degassing valve to the same pouch?
Yes, compatible compostable pouch structures can be developed with a resealable zipper and optional degassing valve, particularly for roasted coffee packaging.
